Service History

We bought Lapwing in October 2025 (last year)

1) First thing we did was call in the Yanmar agent to service the 18hp Yanmar diesel engine.
2) A new diesel filter was mounted on the diesel tank.
3) New stern gland fitted.
4) 2 new batteries Deltec 100 amp hour
5) After our first sail we decided to convert the bolt rope track system to a hank on system.
  Associated Rigging did the conversion for us. Took a long time for them to source the track, which they fitted onto the mast. Removed the bolt rope track off the forestay as well.
6) Then North Sails had to modify the Number 3 genoa and the main sail to hank on sails.
7) We had a canvass bag made for the Number 3 genoa so now it sits ready for use on the foredeck.
8) The main sail also got a brand new canvass cover as did the tiller, winches and the guard rail covers.
9) There is a number 1 genoa and a storm sail below – all sails are in excellent condition.
10) Associated Rigging checked all the rigging. They replaced the Running Backstay, they modified the genoa tracks and fixed the traveller car system.
11) The winches were removed and cleaned and serviced.
12) The jammers were removed and cleaned and serviced.
13) The many holes below the winches and jammers were glassed closed.
14) The toilet was replaced with a new toilet, new piping, new stop cock and new through hull fitting for the toilet.
15) Every stop cock on the boat has been replaced.
16) The keel bolts were replaced because they were rusty. There are 20 keel bolts.
17) Lapwing was anti-fouled and a new anode put on the prop shaft
18) The twin blade folding propellor was serviced
19) She has an up to date hull certificate and up to date COF (new fire extinguishers, new flares)
20) She has her ORC rating certificate for racing.
